An Oaks Ambassador INVITES | Save The Oaks

The third step to becoming an Oaks Ambassador is INVITING others into what our King is doing to continue the ministry of The Oaks through His people. If a nation is in crisis, an ambassador will take the need to other leaders, countries, and organizations to bring relief and needed resources. In the same way, as an Oaks Ambassador, we can invite others to help bring relief and restoration to The Oaks from the impact of COVID and a shift in strategy which led to the decision to sell.

Here are some simple ways to invite others:

1.) Share our brochure in digital or print form.

2.) Post on your own social media using our social media kit.

3.) Ask about and then listen to the impact a camp experience has had on another person's life, then transition to sharing about state of The Oaks and the current need.

4.) Host an event at your home to share the vision and pray. Maybe a s'more's night around a firepit and you ask each family in advance to bring $25-100 to donate towards The Oaks?

The Meitler family served The Oaks full time for over a decade, with Paul eventually taking leadership as the Executive Director. But this journey all began with an invitation to come volunteer at The Oaks in 2005, running a chipper with his family. This simple invitation to serve one Saturday led to over a decade of service to the urban poor and body of Christ through the ministry of The Oaks. So you never know the power of an invitation and how God might prompt someone to get involved in a great cause like The Oaks!
